Taking place as usual in glorious Harrogate from 1st-3rd September this year, The Flooring Show looks fair set to build on the foundations of last year with a bigger and brighter event for the UK flooring industry. According to the organiser, two exciting new initiatives will help drive the event to further success this year.

The Trends Hub will offer an exciting insight into the future of flooring and surfaces. Located right on the show floor, attendees will find a visionary zone styled as a Workspace Laboratory and showcasing an inspiring presentation of the latest products from exhibitors, alongside a unique preview of the major colour, texture, material and styling trends for 2014.

The Trends Hub is also the perfect place to take a break, grab a coffee, hold a meeting or catch-up on calls and emails – with free wi-fi, comfy seating booths, and individual and group work stations providing a restful and inspirational space for attendees and exhibitors to relax and gather their thoughts. The Hub is conceived and will be designed by the influential consultancy Scarlet Opus.

In addition this year the Business Enrichment Centre will be the location for an amazing group of inspirational speakers with invaluable knowledge about the interiors sector. No matter what business issues you face in these difficult times there will be guidance, suggestions and support to be found for you in the world class seminars.

Topics include: How to take your business online – e-commerce basics; More profit without selling more; Social Media – The How to; and Using LinkedIn to increase sales.

In addition, the organiser has organised what it describes as ‘show stopper’ speakers with a range of practical and inspiring topics, such as: Renovation with Flooring – Sian Astley, Channel 5’s presenter of Half Built House; Interior Design Trends Summer 2014: a Flooring Focus – Victoria Redshaw, Scarlet Opus; Helping Flooring Salespeople Sell to Interior Designers – Vanessa Brady, CEO The Society of British Interior Design; The benefits to business of Google – Finlay Clark, Google Industry Manager, Flooring.

At the time of writing, there were 50 companies listed as exhibitors on The Flooring Show website.
