Hosting its second show this year, designjunction will present a diverse range of leading global design brands and emerging enterprises, set against the industrial backdrop of The Sorting Office in central London. Spread over three floors, designjunction will highlight the latest in international furniture, lighting and accessory brands, alongside pop-up shops, large-scale installations, eateries, Flash Factories, seminars and screenings.
For this year’s event, designjunction has announced the launch of lightjunction – a new trade show dedicated to quality decorative lighting. Staged in partnership with lighting specialist, Cameron Peters Fine Lighting, the show brings together international lighting brands such as Artemide, Vibia, LZF, Northern Lighting, Vitamin and Orsjo. Supporting this new and ambitious venture is Megaman, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of low-energy light bulbs.
Part of the ground floor will be transformed into a series of interactive Flash Factories, where the process of industrial production – from authentic craft-making to three-dimensional printing – will be brought to life through live demonstrations.
Live debates and panel discussions will take place throughout the event in a new seminar theatre designed by architecture duo, VoonWong+BensonSaw. In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy food and drink from a selection of London’s finest street food eateries and Jamie Oliver’s celebrated Barbecoa restaurant.
Taking place from 18th-22nd September as part of London Design Festival, designjunction will feature more than 150 brands – making it a prominent destination for anyone interested in the latest contemporary design innovations.
