ISH, a world leading trade fair for the combination of water and energy, has once again demonstrated its significance for visitors and exhibitors across the globe. 

200,114 visitors made their way to Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre this year to discover numerous innovations and the latest trends from 2482 exhibitors.

ISH 2017 saw an increase in international exhibitors, who made up 64% of exhibitors (2015: 61 percent) and 40% of visitors (2015: 39 percent). The biggest visitor nations were China, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Poland, Belgium, Austria and Spain.

The ISH Water area, which comprised the ‘Bathroom Experience’ and the ‘World of Installation Technology’, explored the themes of “Bathrooms for People” and “Technology for People”. 

Touching on health, wellness, comfort and convenience, together with issues relating to the conservation of resources and drinking water hygiene, exhibitors presented their sustainable, design-oriented solutions for the bathroom.

One of the top brands within this section was Dornbracht, which unveiled its LifeSpa concept at the show. Taking the idea of health-oriented bathroom design to a new level, the concept epitomises the holistic approach to bathroom planning and furnishing in the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.

Bette, too, launched several new designs at the show – the BetteLoft and BetteLoft Ornament baths and washbasins, as well as the ‘upholstered’ BetteLux Oval Couture bath and washbasin. The work of German design studio, Tesseraux + Partner, the BetteLoft collection combines precise lines with comfort, offering a choice of pared-down architectural precision and striking geometric statement.

AXOR presented a new collection of taps for washbasins, showers and bathtubs, while hansgrohe, showcased an innovative solution for the comfortable and convenient control of feel-good, multi-jet showers.

The ISH Energy section, meanwhile, covered building services and energy engineering, together with renewable energies, air-conditioning and refrigeration and ventilation technology. 

Amongst the world’s most famous manufacturers in the field of efficient heating technologies and renewable energies exhibited here, among them Bosch Thermotechnik, Brötje, Daikin Europe, De Dietrich Thermique, Elco, Fröling, La Nordica, Spartherm, Vaillant, Viessmann, Wilo and Zehnder.

The next edition of ISH will be held in Frankfurt am Main from 12-16th March 2019.
