Founded in 1995, MAISON&OBJET PARIS has become an important resource for the lifestyle, decoration and design sector. This year will see a host of features and exhibitor zone dedicated to hospitality professionals.
MAISON&OBJET’s hospitality focus and visitor base have grown steadily year on year, and will be evidenced this year through a series of themed zones.
The Forever (timeless classics), Unique & Eclectic (championing global creativity), and Today (a distillation of the spirit of our times) zones are designed to attract café owners, hoteliers and restaurateurs, inviting them to explore a selection of the very latest furnishings and design solutions from international designers.
As well as this comprehensive supplier list, MAISON&OBJET’s Cook & Share zone will give visitors the lowdown on the latest food trends, while Home Linen will shine a spotlight on the latest textile trends. At Share, François Delclaux is set to offer an up-to- the-minute take on dining, sociable spaces and restaurants, while at Care, Elizabeth Leriche will explore the modern-day approach to entertaining, hosting and cocooning.
In keeping with the show’s celebration of the art of hospitality, sharing and savouring, its designer of the year, Laura Gonzalez, will be staging a café area in hall 7. Well known for her masterful hospitality work in Paris, Laura has also stamped her “reworked classical” style on numerous restaurants, bars and hotels overseas.
Complementing these features, conference sessions chaired by industry experts will offer brand new insight into the impact interior design is having on the hotel and restaurant trade.
Triple Michelin-starred chef Frédéric Anton and the architect Aline Asmar D’Amman will take to the stage to chat about the design of the prestigious Eiffel Tower-based restaurant, the Jules Verne, whilst the managers of the La Réserve group will offer an insight into the secrets behind their confidential hotels’ closely-cherished identity.
