The Independent Hotel Show returns with an enhanced programme to deliver inspiration and insight to the luxury and boutique hotel community. 

Now in its eighth year, the show will bring together 6,500 hotel owners, general managers and key decision makers to explore methods of transforming the hotel guest experience. 

As ever, the Independent Hotel Show will present the hottest hotel design trends and latest launches from a carefully-curated selection of 350 suppliers. This year’s exhibitor list ranges from London-based Gruff Architects, furniture and accessories by Eichholtz, striking decorative lighting from Pooky, Searchlight, Franklite and Elstead Lighting, and designer wall coverings, murals and fabrics from London-based ATADesigns.

As always, forward-thinking design plays an integral part in the fabric of the Independent Hotel Show, with some of the biggest names in hotel interior design showcasing their ideas and creations across the show’s various spaces.  

Luxury online interiors brand, House of Sloane, will be showcasing its British-made statement furniture on its stand and as design partner to the Innovation Stage in partnership with eviivo, where its founders plan to fulfil the brief of ‘modern eclecticism meets maximalist glamour’ by kitting the stage out with bold hues, luxurious velvets, a dash of animal print and assorted accessories. 

Julian Chichester will be applying stylish touches to the Social Business Space – an area where hoteliers can engage in intimate campfire sessions – while Two’s Company Interior Design will give The Suite, an exclusive space offering hospitality to the Independent Hotel Show Members Club and their guests, a classic contemporary Art Deco style.

On the Hotel Vision Stage, in partnership with Quality in Tourism, independent interiors company Graham & Green will aim to strike ‘the perfect balance’ of statement furniture and homely finishing touches as the backdrop to insightful discussions on subjects such as collaboration, community business and hotel dynasties as well as an interview with renowned hotelier, Robin Hutson. 

To discover ways in which your hotel can showcase its personality in an authentic voice, join DesignLSM’s Holly Hallam and a panel of industry experts in Designing Independence, looking at every element of the hospitality environment from a design perspective.

Those hoping for further inspiration should head to the Innovation Stage to hear enlightening discussions on the trends set to storm the hotel scene – from design and wellness to digital and food and beverage. 

Consciousness is another key theme of the show this year, and will be distilled via a live installation entitled ‘The Conscious Bedroom’. Designed by London design studio, Harris & Harris, the space will give forward-thinking hoteliers a view of how to balance guest experience with sustainable choices in décor, fixtures and fittings.

As well as providing numerous opportunities to meet with industry friends and make new connections, the Independent Hotel Show will also recognise those who have made significant contributions to the industry over the last year through its prestigious awards. 

Alongside the Independent Hotelier accolade will be two new awards – the Hotel Innovation award and GM of the Future, supported by the Master Innholders.
