Hospitality and executive furnishings specialist, Design at Knightsbridge, has launched its new mobile showroom. Intended to present the company’s portfolio in the most client-convenient manner possible, the liveried Mercedes-Benz Atego truck can display up to 20 individual items in its 50ft trailer. Models are selected for each visit according to customer requirements, with options including furniture for bars and restaurants, guest rooms, conference facilities, lounges and foyers.

“Selecting contract furniture is still very much a hands-on experience across the hospitality and leisure sector,” explains Margaret Miller, chairman of the Knightsbridge Furniture group. “However, it’s a busy world and we recognise that not everyone has time to come to the showroom at our Bradford headquarters. So we’re taking the showroom out to our customers instead.”

Behind the wheel is experienced HGV driver Chris Mann, who promises to manoeuvre the vehicle into narrow car parks to enable new and existing customers to explore the company’s latest collections first hand. Refreshment facilities are on board, as well as extensive literature stocks covering all Knightsbridge divisions.

The Design at Knightsbridge roadshow has just embarked on the first stage of its rolling programme of visits to buyers, specifiers and end-users around the UK. To book a visit, readers should contact Design at Knightsbridge directly.
