Tucked away on Eyre Street Hill, this 19th Century public house brings old school charm to London’s Little Italy. The Gunmakers retains many of its original enchanting features, whilst surprising guests along the way, from the craft beers, cocktails and Asian inspired dishes to the Gun Club, a hidden hair studio up in the attic. 

Newly appointed Head Chef Madison Duffy takes over the kitchen, serving her Asian inspired cuisine making use of seasonal, British produce and bold flavours.

Located at the back of the pub is a lush garden, a genuine rarity in EC1. With foliage and lanterns hanging from wooden beams overhead, this is a place to get cosy under thick blankets by the heaters and sip on owner Tom Soden’s legendary hot buttered rum this winter. 

Step on up the ramshackle spiral staircase towards The Gunmaker’s Living Room furnished with lovingly sourced antiques & big cosy chesterfields, art work curated by Beautiful Crime adorns the wall & carefully chosen tunes from DJ Nicola Robinson, played at the perfect level to both chat & toe-tap to. It’s the perfect space in which to host your very own private knees-up.

Climb all the way up to the top of The Gunmakers and you will be delighted to discover the Gun Club, run by Tim Whiting. This is a hair studio and barber shop complete with its very own bar. A home-away-from-home, with exposed brick walls, original barbershop pieces and lush greenery filling the space. As guests arrive they will be offered a cocktail from Tim’s bar, currently offering either the Tanqueray Gin-based Negroni or the Bulleit Bourbon-based Bananavardier.
