Livelyhood will close the late-night DJ bar in early January for a complete refurbishment, reopening as The Perky Nel neighbourhood pub in February.

Just minutes from Clapham South tube station, and overlooking the Common, the pub group’s latest opening will embrace traditional values with a modern attitude. A large 100 cover bar and dining space, alongside an impressive front garden terrace, will serve satisfying British food and drink from local suppliers and producers.

“Having fallen in love with Clapham when we opened The Clapham North we’ve been keeping an eye out for a sister site in the area ever since and have finally found the ideal home for Nel," comments Livelyhood’s CEO, owner and South London resident, Sarah Wall.

"We’re really excited to be opening in such a prime spot beside the common and are very proud to have such an iconic site as part of our portfolio. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome Clapham South’s residents, visitors and workers into our newest home from home and will be revealing more details very soon.”

The Perky Nel will be the second Clapham location for Livelyhood, joining sister venue The Clapham North which underwent a large refurbishment last year. The Livelyhood family also includes: The Regent (Balham), The Old Frizzle (Wimbledon), The Mere Scribbler (Streatham) and The Faber Fox (Crystal Palace).
