Biophilic planting partners Leaflike have shared details of their latest collaboration with Miiro Hotels on Miiro’s debut UK property—a 156‑room boutique retreat in Kensington combining Victorian architecture with contemporary elegance. Centered around a serene, private garden, Templeton Garden offers guests a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city.
Engaged to design, install, and maintain a biophilic planting scheme that enriched both the hotel’s interior public spaces and its exterior gardens, Leaflike worked alongside architects Holland & Harvey and interior lead Thurstan Waterworth to deliver a scheme that encompassed the reception and communal areas, the front entrance, and the rear garden—the property’s verdant heart.
Plantings created a seamless connection between spaces—from entrance to garden—reinforcing the hotel’s architectural storytelling rooted in Victorian and garden conservatory traditions.
Touches of scent and greenery—fresh herbs near dining zones, tranquil lawn seating, artful planters in reception—elevated wellbeing and offered restful moments amid the city bustle.
The exterior and interior plantings were carefully chosen for long-term resilience and ease of care, supporting the hotel’s environmental goals and reflecting Templeton Garden’s commitment to living heritage.
