Joining Claude’s Deli, Yard Sale Pizza, Press Coffee and Thima by Farang the final six vendors have now been announced – smoked meat specialists, Hot Box; Hawaiian poké pioneers, Ahi Poké; fried chicken connoisseurs, Butchies; Calcutta Canteen from the team behind Darjeeling Express, brand Fanny’s Kebabs from the crew behind Claude’s Kitchen and ice cream bar, Soft Serve Society.
Market Halls’ first site in London will be housed in the Grade II Listed, former Edwardian ticket hall of Fulham Broadway station. The venue will feature nine kitchens, a deli, coffee shop and bar, as well as a large communal area for over 200 people.
Designed by Harry Wharton Ford in the 1880s, this historic building has been vacant for six years, and is now being sympathetically restored. Market Hall’s architects, FaulknerBrowns, will be retaining original features such as the enamel ‘To The Trains’ sign and ticket offices used in the original London underground station.
“We’re very excited to bring the Fulham Broadway ticket hall back to life and think we’ve created something new and unique for Fulham and London,” comments Simon Anderson. “We’ve studied the local area and pulled together a varied roster of traders, from local favourites to street food stars, that we hope will please everyone.
“All of this under one roof alongside a bar selling the best British craft beers and spirits, open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”
