Hotel Metropole, Monte-Carlo set to open newly designed rooms

Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo has revealed the first phase of its renovation with new spaces this summer.

In August 2025, guests will be welcomed in newly redesigned rooms by the celebrated French interior designer, Jacques Garcia. Known for his opulent aesthetic, Garcia will bring his signature touch to these future spaces, combining rich textures and elegant detailing. The new rooms will feature a light and airy interior, with modern fittings and amenities.

With this first phase of the renovation, 50 new rooms will be available on the second and third floors. Apart from the Carré d’Or Suite which was refreshed in 2019, this is the first time that rooms have been renovated since the hotel opened its doors in 2004.

In July 2025, the hotel will unveil The Spa Metropole by Guerlain. Designed by renowned interior architect Didier Gomez, the spa’s sleek lines will be set against a luminous, tranquil atmosphere. This new destination spa will offer holistic wellness, guided by the expertise and vision of two exceptional establishments.

Ten treatment rooms will be dedicated to Guerlain’s signature rituals, including the Ultimate Black Orchid, the masterpiece of Guerlain skincare treatments. Three treatments have been created by Guerlain exclusively for the hotel, and will include: Monaco Glow, Puissance du Rocher and Golden Sand. The spa will also offer the unique expertise of Bastien Gonzalez, with an area dedicated to curated pedicures and manicures. A sauna, hammam and ultra-modern fitness studio will complete the experience.

From May 3 to October 31, 2025, ZIA will make its return to Odyssey, the hotel’s poolside restaurant envisioned by Karl Lagerfeld. This year, the Italian culinary journey will extend beyond dinner, with breakfast and lunch to be made available to outside guests for the first time.

From artisanal pastries and signature pandoro French toast in the morning, to Sicilian-style branzino and tigelle di Modena by day, and truffle pizzas under the stars at night, ZIA will offer guests a taste of la dolce vita in Monaco. Aperitivo hour and masterclasses with chefs Manon Santini and Rocco Seminara will round up a vibrant and indulgent experience.

Chef Christophe Cussac, who has overseen the hotel’s culinary offering since 2004, continues a new era of fine dining with Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac. Having spent over three decades at the helm of two-Michelin-starred kitchens, the gastronomic destination was awarded two Michelin stars within just nine months of opening in 2024 – accolades retained in March 2025.
