NoMad Hotels has announced the appointment of Jason Deibler-Love as General Manager of NoMad Detroit Michigan Central, ahead of the hotel’s scheduled opening in early Spring 2027 at the restored Michigan Central Station.
His appointment follows a series of new leadership announcements across NoMad’s expanding global portfolio, with Bernardo de la Garza joining NoMad Singapore, set to open on the vibrant Orchard Road in late 2026, and John Sutherland rejoining NoMad London.
Deibler-Love brings more than two decades of experience leading independent hotels and lifestyle brands, with senior roles at Ace Hotel Group, Standard International and Eaton Workshop. Raised in Metro Detroit, he brings an instinctive understanding of the city and its culture, helping to root the hotel’s operations firmly within its local context as NoMad prepares to open one of its most anticipated properties to date.
“Jason’s deep connection to Detroit, combined with more than two decades spent creating distinctive, culturally driven hospitality experiences, makes him an incredibly exciting addition to the global team. With London firmly established five years after opening, Singapore in the final stages ahead of its debut later this year, and Detroit representing an exciting new chapter for NoMad, we’re delighted to welcome Jason and Bernardo to the team, and to have John rejoin” says Kristen Millar, Chief Brand Officer at NoMad Hotels.
“Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to hotels that become part of the cultural life of their cities – places where thoughtful design, authentic service, food, music, art, and community converge in a meaningful way. To return to Detroit and help shape NoMad within such an important landmark is an extraordinary opportunity, and one that feels deeply personal” says Jason Deibler-Love as General Manager of NoMad Detroit.
The appointments come at a pivotal moment in NoMad’s international expansion, as the brand prepares to enter Asia Pacific for the first time and open a landmark new destination in Detroit, extending its distinctive point of view across three continents.
John Sutherland’s return as General Manager of NoMad London brings a sense of continuity to the brand’s flagship at Bow Street. An original member of the pre-opening teams for both NoMad New York and NoMad London, Sutherland helped shape the London property from its earliest days, leading its commercial strategy from launch and serving as Interim General Manager during its inaugural year. His return reconnects the hotel with one of the leading figures who helped establish its character and culture from the outset.

In Singapore, De la Garza brings over 18 years of international hospitality experience across luxury and lifestyle brands, with senior leadership roles encompassing Six Senses, Hyatt Hotels, and Accor, and most recently as General Manager at The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon. Bernardo’s hospitality leadership and deep expertise will be instrumental as NoMad prepares to launch its flagship destination in Asia later this year.

Across London, Singapore and Detroit, each leader will play a central role in translating NoMad’s distinct approach to hospitality for its local context, creating hotels that feel both unmistakably NoMad and intrinsically connected to the cities they call home.
