Campbell House, an interior design firm, announces JoyceLynn Lagula, Rafael Berkowitz and Jese Medina-Suarez have joined the company as creative director, principals.

Responsible for leading the design activities for Campbell House, the designers will play a leadership role by orchestrating the work of client-focused teams dedicated to design, development and delivery of creative project solutions.

“As a creative house focused on curating memorable experiences in the built environment and delivering frictionless client experiences, our decisions must be led by a collective of individuals who approach innovation as commonly as they take in breath,” said Beth Campbell, CEO of Campbell House. “This is where our organizational structure and culture is essential. This is where we pointedly sought out creative directors who will lead our design teams to excellence in creativity. These leaders are a brilliant collection of varied approaches to design, innovation and storytelling. I am proud to introduce the players setting the pace for the future of Campbell House.”

Lagula has over 15 years of interior and architectural design experience. Most recently, she served as the design principal for Wilson Associates, a top global design firm. Prior to Wilson, Lagula was an associate for Cuningham Group, designing solutions for the hospitality and gaming industry. Before that, Lagula was an architectural designer for Gensler.

“Campbell House embodies the same design-forward thinking and cultural approach that I hold as a high standard for myself,” said Lagula. “I am very excited to be able to work with such a talented group of designers from different parts of the industry and the world. It is that diversity in thought and in practice which gives me confidence in my own growth at Campbell House.”

Berkowitz has over 30 years of interior design experience. Most recently, he served as the design director for five years at Wilson Associates. Prior to Wilson, Berkowitz was a senior associate for Tonychi and Associates in New York. Before that, Berkowitz had his own design firm for seven years. He has a Master of Architecture from Columbia University.

“People and design are the always-already foundation of Campbell House; this irreducible essence is what makes it so exciting to be under the house’s roof and part of the team,” said Berkowitz. “I’m looking forward to creating great spaces, timeless and unique considered designs with amazing and talented people.”

Medina-Suarez has over 15 years of interior design experience. Most recently, he served as the design director, principal for Wilson Associates in London. Prior to Wilson, Medina-Suarez was a design director in Singapore for Smallwood, a hospitality international design firm. Before that, Medina-Suarez was an interiors lead, associate for Bates Smart in Melbourne, Australia. He has a Master of Architecture, specializing in interiors from Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy.

“When I first learnt about Campbell House, I understood it was the opportunity to contribute towards a community of creative minds around the leadership of Beth,” said Medina-Suarez. “The chance to create an agile structure suited to the world arising in this new challenging decade that has just kicked off.”
