Set in the heart of the Old City, steps from the wonders of Istanbul and offering a historical landmark experience since 1996, Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet re-emerges more beautiful than ever, with a totally fresh aesthetic look while keeping its intimate residential feel and honouring the city’s vast history. The Hotel continues to offer the only true luxury experience in the Old Town, where highly personalized service is delivered with utmost emotional connectivity by a genuinely caring team.

“Inspired designs will be driven by storytelling, meaningful experiences as well as Istanbul’s rich culture and history, furthering our journey as Old City’s only Five-Star luxury hotel,” says Tarek Mourad, Senior General Manager of Four Seasons Hotels Istanbul.

Surrounded by breath-taking views of Hagia Sophia Mosque, the Blue Mosque and Marmara Sea, the Hotel offers a quintessential location for exploring Istanbul’s deep heritage. Brimming with character and local charm, the interiors of Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet have been impeccably re-imagined by multi award-winning design studio Goddard Littlefair. The studio has created a unique city oasis filled with contrasts and diversities. Appealing to those “in the know,” this is a secluded sanctuary in which to relax, unwind and enjoy an authentic experience and be at one with its surroundings.

“Our designers researched styling, pattern and details from antiques, fabrics and architecture and distilled these influences through a contemporary filter to create designs that feel completely in tune with the building and setting,” says Martin Goddard.

Having undergone an extensive renovation built upon its vast history, culture, heritage, location and its proven track record of luxury service, the Hotel meets guests upon arrival with lavish craftsmanship and attention to detail. Guests will enjoy engaging experiences through the retail shops in the lobby area, displaying city’s rich culture and heritage.

All of the guest rooms have been refurbished with the same language and design intent that filters through the public areas. Besides the obvious lure of beautifully proportioned and refurbished rooms, the Hotel has been designed to offer up a number of diverse experiences to suit the mood and desire of each individual. A true “hidden gem” in Istanbul, guests at Four Seasons Sultanahmet will undoubtedly enjoy a deeply authentic and memorable experience in an environment that instils the best of local culture and values.

Seating groups spill out onto the newly landscaped terrace, which has been specifically designed to create zones for dining and lounging that can be both private and peaceful or lively and animated. From breakfast to dinner, different experiences will be offered throughout the day. The culinary team, led by Turkish Executive Chef & Ouml;zgür Üstün, will offer the best of Anatolian cuisine with finest local produce at the new AVLU Restaurant, beautifully situated at the heart of the courtyard. The lure of the living courtyard within the ancient city is a unique and compelling feature of the Hotel.

Perched on the rooftop of the Hotel, Hotel’s renowned bar re-emerges as Süreyya, with a unique and enviable view of the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, Blue Mosque as well as the striking silhouette of the Old City. In addition to these two hubs, the new Hotel bar Lingo Lingo sits back in the main heart of the building. An elevated private dining space sits adjacent to Lingo Lingo, offering delicious seafood mezze in a light and bright space, also convenient for private functions.

With a desire to create a wellness area within the Hotel to highlight a local-inspired offering, a bijou luxury spa has been created alongside a Turkish barber, beauty salon and well-appointed gymnasium. Perfectly proportioned, the softly lit marble lined spa pays tribute to the local tradition of health and well-being by offering guests the opportunity to embrace the experience of a Turkish hammam.

On the ground level of the Hotel, the function spaces have been completely refurbished, including the ballroom, which will now benefit from enhanced acoustics and lighting, features embedded in the architecture as well as the decorative elements of the refurbishment. With indoor and outdoor spaces, the Hotel invites both corporate retreats and social gatherings, and wedding couples will love the opportunity to exchange vows in this historic setting.

This unparalleled experience, which Four Seasons have become renowned for, is blended with legendary Turkish hospitality at its best at Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet, establishing a new benchmark for hospitality around the world.
