Prominent chefs Claude Bosi, Daniel Clifford, Paul Cunningham and Tom Kerridge hosted a fundraising dinner within Brasserie Joël at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel in London on Monday, to help raise funds for industry charity, Hospitality Action.
The event saw the chefs from The Hand & Flowers, Hibiscus, Midsummer House and Henne Kirkeby Kro – who boast six Michelin stars and 14 AA Rosettes between them – collaborate exclusively on an fine-dining menu. Brasserie Joël’s head chef, Walter Ishizuka, lent his support throughout the evening.
Paul Cunningham says: “I was delighted to be asked to take part in this exceptional fundraising event on behalf of Hospitality Action. Tom, Daniel, Claude and I were all keen to give something back to the industry which has treated us so well. The funds raised will mean that many hospitality workers in need this Christmas won’t feel so alone, and we are all very pleased to have been able to make this possible.”
Penny Moore, chief executive at Hospitality Action, adds: “Our stellar line-up of chefs really did us proud! Over £27,000 was raised, which is a great end to another successful year of fundraising! We are extremely thankful to all of our chefs and sponsors, and particularly the team at Brasserie Joël for all their support over the past few months.”
With Christmas just around the corner, Hospitality Action is currently holding its annual Christmas online auction, which features a multitude of lots on offer including afternoon tea for two at The Dorchester and two VIP tickets to the Phantom of the Opera.
