Hampton by Hilton has welcomed a landmark addition to its portfolio with the opening of the Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo. This is the brand’s first hotel in central London, and follows the recent launch of Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport North Terminal, joining Hilton Worldwide’s global brand of over 1900 mid-priced hotels.

The hotel comprises 297 guest rooms, and is the largest Hampton by Hilton property outside of the US. With a focus on comfort and service backed by the 100% Hampton Guarantee, the hotel features contemporary and comfortable seating areas, open-plan public spaces, informal zones as well as dedicated work areas.

Phil Cordell, global head for focused service and Hampton brand management at Hilton Worldwide, says: “The opening of our first Hampton by Hilton in central London is a key milestone for the brand as we continue our expansion in the UK. As ever, we pride ourselves on the 100% Hampton Guarantee, and are delighted to introduce our signature Hamptonality style of service to the heart of the capital.”

Many of the rooms boast impressive city views, while the Hampton by Hilton experience includes complimentary WiFi and a hot breakfast as part of the room rate. In addition to offering excellent transport links in and out of London and to surrounding areas, other conveniences include a 24/7 snack bar and a complimentary on-site fitness centre for all guests.

Simon Vincent, president of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Hilton Worldwide, adds, “London has recently been announced as the world’s most popular tourist destination, having seen a 20 percent increase in foreign visitors in 2013, now reaching almost 4.9 million*. The opening of Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo, therefore, comes at an opportune time, introducing our value brand to the increasing number of tourists, and demonstrating the growth of our portfolio which includes three brands in this thriving, international city.”

Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo’s interior design takes inspiration from natural elements, using greens and forestry prints to create a calming atmosphere. The hotel features four 18m² meeting rooms, which offer a relaxed yet professional ambiance, and seat 12 delegates in boardroom style. The four meeting rooms can combine to allow for two larger rooms, which each accommodate 40 people a theatre-style setting.

Faycal Bennani, GM at Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo, says: “Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo offers guests affordable accommodation, without compromising on location. With its extensive transport links and proximity to some of the capital’s most famous landmarks and attractions, it’s an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers coming to London.”
