Pavilion, London

Located within the leafy Royal Borough of Kensington &”ˆChelsea, this 60-seat restaurant has recently undergone a stylish refurbishment by the designLSM team, and opened its doors in May of this year under acclaimed chef Adam Simmonds.

The designLSM team’s brief was to create a contemporary, yet elegant restaurant, champagne bar and deli for discerning club members and the public. The interior design ream redesigned the venue’s ground floor, combining the existing Drylands cafe with a neighbouring retail unit to create one unified space.

Upon entering the restaurant, guests are greeted by the florist with hand-made bouquets by Paul Morris displayed along brass shelving.

At the centre of the restaurant is the champagne bar, designed with Marquina marble, brass inlays and a delicately-profiled pewter top. The bespoke 22-seater bar also features a brass wine gantry and dramatic illuminated glass pillars.

Framing the champagne bar is the Carrara marble deli counter on the left – home to an abundant display of produce, breads and pastries freshly baked on-site. To the right of the bar is the open kitchen, offering diners the opportunity to watch their dishes being prepared by head chef Adam and his team, plus a large meat-aging fridge and butchery.

The restaurant features privately-commissioned oil paintings by renowned British artist, Simon Casson, handcrafted furniture made with opulent leathers and bespoke copper light features – all designed by designLSM.

Serving up breakfast, lunch, dinner and take-away salads, sandwiches and snacks throughout the day, the deli will stock a vast array of cheeses and British cured meats sourced from London’s own Cannon &”ˆCannon. The champagne bar, which is stocked using small independent suppliers, will offer its own menu throughout the day.

The venue also boasts a private terrace for up to 40 guests, accessible to ‘social’ members of the attached business members’ club which has been renamed Pavilion (having previously been known as Dryland).
