An East London hotel has been given a stylish makeover following a £1.4 million transformation project.

The redesigned Crowne Plaza London – Docklands Hotel in Royal Victoria Dock has undergone an extensive revamp of its 210 bedrooms.

With the final phase of the project now under way, the works are expected to be fully complete in December 2014.

Managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels, the property boasts a collection of expertly designed, stylish guest rooms ranging from high-end standard bedrooms, superior rooms and 15 contemporary suites.

The overall investment includes a complete remodel of the hotel’s accommodation offering which incorporates a mix of natural features and modern comforts.

The rooms boast the brand’s bespoke Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage amenities including comfortable beds with luxury duvets and extra pillows, blackout curtains and double glazing to ensure guests get a great night’s sleep.

With plush carpeting and modern comfort lighting throughout, the well-appointed rooms offer the latest in modern conveniences. Desk-based multimedia hubs with high-speed internet data ports, HDMI points and Bluetooth connectivity will allow guests to connect tablets and laptops to the rooms’ large-screen TVs, while bedside USB charging points mean that visitors from further afield can still charge technology without the need for an international adapter. New 3-in-1 charging cables, compatible with a range of big-name gadgets, will also be provided.

Joanne Taylor-Stagg, general manager of Crowne Plaza London – Docklands, says: “The transformation of our rooms has been a fantastic addition to the offering at Crown Plaza Docklands. Over the last few months the room interiors have been completely redesigned and renovated to offer guests the ultimate stay with all of those at-home luxuries we’re accustomed to.

“The rooms have been expertly put together to incorporate beautiful natural design features as well as highly practical and convenient amenities for guests whether they’re a visiting for a single night or a regular stay.”

Ross Morrow, chief development officer at Redefine|BDL Hotels, said: “The investment project at the hotel has been a huge success and will elevate its offering in line with our exceptionally high standards across the portfolio. This project is one of several ongoing developments currently underway. It’s an incredibly exciting time for Redefine|BDL Hotels and we look forward to completing more landmark projects like this throughout 2015 and beyond.”
