CantorMasters is working with Benito’s Hat on its latest restaurant in Bromley, South London, which offers authentic and modern Mexican cuisine.
This latest addition to Benito’s Hat growing portfolio opens on February 23 in Bromley’s busy Market Square and will be their seventh restaurant in the London area.
Owners Ben Fordham and Felipe Fuentes Cruz named Benito’s Hat after Benito Juaraz, a Mexican politician and statesman of the late 19th century who had a penchant for bizarre hats, one of which forms their distinctive logo.
Felipe creates a seasonally changing menu delivering classic Mexican favourites and exciting innovations to showcase its rich culinary culture and vibrant street food and the restaurants are famous for their range of fresh margaritas.
When designing the interior at Bromley, CantorMasters wanted to capture the funky, warm and lively atmosphere that encapsulates the Mexican style of Benito’s Hat restaurants, and create a welcoming character filled environment throughout the day.
The highlight feature of the interior design is a statement floor in blue and white painted timber. The rest of the interior remains pared back and simple with bare brick and plastered walls and a tiled column. The design if finished off with prismatic pendant lighting.
CantorMasters’ design creates a warehouse feel to the restaurant area and this theme is carried through with enamel tables, a copper bar on breeze blocks and a feature back bar with tiered shelving for bottles and shutters that can be rolled up in the evenings ready for those famous Benito’s Hat cocktails to be served.
