Maisha Design to refurbish Knightsbridge Beaufort Hotel

niche pr‘s client, Maisha Design, has been appointed to refurbish the boutique Knightsbridge Beaufort Hotel, ready for the end of September 2015.

The work will include reconfiguring the check-in area, reception and dining areas, as well as updating the guest suites and deluxe bedrooms with eco-credentials.

“With increased international travel and much used review forums such as ‘tripadvisor’, travellers are more informed and design conscious,” says Almas Shamsee of Maisha Design. “The focus of the design is on creating that memorable experience. You need that instant wow factor, and it not just the visual. It’s the ‘feel’ of the place. For instance, increasingly, many leading chains have adopted a ‘signature scent’; you know when you walk into a ‘Shangri-La’ anywhere in the world, the smell, the feel, the look all invokes that feeling of relaxation, being somewhere special, somewhere worth paying for.

“Catering for an increasingly demanding and well-travelled guest, as a designer I feel I need to take all these elements into consideration. In the case of the Beautfort Hotel in particular, it is critical to find the balance between the ‘home from home’ feel with a quirky individuality that makes the stay an experience'”.
