Jumeirah at Etihad Towers has announced plans to open European restaurant, Pearls by Michael Caines, on 1st October 2015. Michael Caines is a world renowned chef who has led Gidleigh Park in Devon, UK, since 1994.
Under Michael’s leadership, Gidleigh Park has earned two Michelin Stars and has consistently been rated among the UK’s top dining destinations, winning countless awards and accolades. Pearls by Michael Caines is the first restaurant that Michael has given his name to outside of the UK.
The restaurant will offer a casual dining experience that will mirror the cultural diversity of the city and its eclectic palates. With floor-to-ceiling open glass walls, the restaurant offers unrivalled views of Abu Dhabi’s islets and the surrounding sea, with an open terrace on the upper floor, and a private landing jetty offering boat and yacht access.
“It is a real privilege and honour to open my first restaurant outside the UK in Abu Dhabi,” says Michael. “It is a spectacular opportunity and I am delighted to be working with the Jumeirah Group. The location of this stunning restaurant, with its independent entrance, will make it one of Abu Dhabi’s top dining destinations.

The soft opening is scheduled for 14 September, 2015 and the grand opening will take place on 1 October, 2015.
