BLINK Design Group CEO, Michael Sagild, has announced the appointment of award-winning hospitality designer, Leonard Lee, to the position of Creative Director – Interior Design, with immediate effect.
Based in the Singapore office, Lee, who reports to BLINK founder and Group Creative Director, Clint Nagata, has over 20 years’ experience of designing exceptional hotel interiors, the past 16 of them as SVP/Principal at established design firm, Wilson Associates Singapore.
During his tenure there, he created stunning designs for some of the world’s most elite hotel companies, including Ritz-Carlton, Conrad, Sofitel, Hyatt, Shangri La and Kempinski.
His talent has been recognized through the design industry’s most prestigious awards, including the much-coveted “Wave of the Future Award” for up-and-coming young designers – previous winners include famous designers and architects Philippe Starck and Frank Gehry – the Golden Nugget Award for “Best International Commercial & Special Use Project”, the “World Luxury Hotel Award”, and various IHMRS Gold Key Awards.
Lee says he is “delighted” to be joining the energetic, forward thinking team at BLINK and is excited about bringing another layer of creativity and design expertise to the Group’s interior design practice. “A great space is designed to serve the people in it and my goal has always been to evoke an emotional connection with the people who use these spaces,” he says.
