RDA goes for growth with trio of directors

South Tyneside-based Restaurant Design Associates (RDA) has appointed Alex Bradley, Nick Bradley and Neil Addyman as directors, who will support managing director Roy Addyman as the company continues to expand its client portfolio.

RDA was set up in 2007 and has since become one of the UK’s leading design, supply and installation companies, specialising in the catering, hospitality and retail industries. It employs 18 people including designers, quantity surveyors, project managers, specialist consultants and site managers.

Since its launch, the company has completed more than 300 projects for a wide range of clients across the UK and beyond, including hospitals, universities, blue chip companies and independent restaurants.

The three newly appointed directors have each worked for RDA for more than seven years – with Nick in a design manager role, Neil as operations manager and Alex as commercial manager. They have now become members of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and will be assisting Roy in the day to day management of the business.

This year, RDA has seen particular success in the education sector, through winning new tenders, securing further work with Durham University and Northumbria University, and becoming the official headline sponsor of the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) Annual Conference in Edinburgh – a prestigious event in the sector’s calendar.

“As a business, we’ve enjoyed rapid year on year growth since we began trading, and this shows no sign of slowing,” says MD Roy Addyman. “In fact, we are seeing repeat business from a variety of clients – from NHS trusts to contract caterers and private companies of all sizes, on a local, national and international scale. With this in mind, we felt the time was right to expand our team of directors as we steer the company towards continued growth.

“Alex, Neil and Nick have all been involved with RDA since its early days. Together, they have valuable knowledge and experience across all areas of the business and are well placed to lend their support as we work closely together to provide the best service for our growing client base.”
