Hypnos grows global footprint with African expansion

Hypnos Contract Beds continues to grow its global footprint with the appointment of Contour Beds as its official licensed manufacturing partner in South Africa.

Situated in Cape Town, with a distribution centre in Gauteng, and dedicated to manufacturing and selling beds for the Southern African hospitality market, Contour Beds, operating under license as Hypnos South Africa, will offer a wide range of products to cater for a variety of requirements and budgets.

These include practical and stylish tufted mattresses and bed sets of supreme comfort, durability and hygiene, all manufactured to Hypnos’ global quality, safety, sustainability and ethical standards.

These beds will be available to a wide range of hospitality clients from large international hotel chains, through to smaller independent boutique hotels, guest houses & lodges and serviced apartments across several Southern African countries.

Hypnos South Africa has already supplied a number of prestigious projects in the region, including Leeu Collection in Franchhoek and Zannier in Namibia. This builds on the company’s international footprint, which is already a trusted partner to many of the world’s most prestigious hotel chains including Marriott, InterContinental Hotel Group, Choice Hotels, Jumeirah, Corinthia, Millennium, Wyndham and The Rocco Forte Collection.

The number of global licensed manufacturing facilities now stands at 20, along with a team of internationally based representatives to service its hospitality customers locally.

“We are delighted that Hypnos South Africa has opened for business in partnership with Contour Beds and are confident that this new addition to our global portfolio will thrive as we serve the country’s hospitality industry,” says Olivier Brommet, Director of Global Business Development at Hypnos. “Our hospitality division has continued to see great success internationally.

“We are delighted to make this announcement, following on from our win of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2017. We now have more than 20 manufacturing facilities around the world, enabling us to serve our International Hotel Chain customers efficiently and effectively.”

As well as growth in Southern Africa, further Hypnos growth is also planned in East Africa with the appointment of Dr. Mattress as its official licensed manufacturing partner, operating under licence as Hypnos East Africa.
