Alexander Rose brings bespoke offering to Stoke Park

Located just 35 minutes from central London and seven miles from London Heathrow, Buckinghamshire’s Stoke Park offers the traditions of an exclusive members’ club alongside the best of today’s sporting, leisure, entertaining and hotel facilities in one of the most convenient locations in Britain.

When looking to replace the furniture in The Orangery restaurant, the team at Stoke Park invited Alexander Rose, a leading outdoor furniture manufacturer, to assess their requirements.

The Orangery looks out over the hotel’s golf course, and offers an array of meals and afternoon teas. After Alexander Rose carefully assessed the location, use of space by diners and history of the building, a traditional, bespoke design made of sustainable mahogany hardwood was chosen.

Sturdy and comfortable folding chairs with arms, alongside eight- and four-seat folding tables were specified – so that they could be easily stacked away for the winter. Burgundy parasols were included to complement Stoke Park’s corporate colours, and lazy susans were integrated into the intricately-carved ringed design of the tables.

Katy Heasman, UK contract manager at Alexander Rose comments: “Mahogany is widely regarded as a premier hardwood with all the natural characteristics for creating highly durable, strong and elegant outdoor furniture.

“The aim of our bespoke designs for Stoke Park were to ensure that our furniture complemented the overall traditional design of The Orangery, and at the same time, created comfortable, practical and durable furniture that requires very little maintenance.”

The operations director at Stoke Park adds: “We were delighted with the bespoke designs put forward by Alexander Rose, which met all our requirements. We are pleased that they are now an approved supplier of outdoor furniture to Stoke Park, and look forward to working with them on other projects.”

Alexander Rose is recognised throughout the UK and Europe for the quality and design of its outdoor furniture for hotels, golf clubs, spas and restaurants. The company’s range of furniture is highly crafted, durable and built to last.
