Luxury leather specialist, CrestJMT Leather, worked in collaboration with fit-out specialist, Freemont, and strategic design consultancy, 20:20, to design and manufacture the upholstery for the VIP Connell Club and Mancunian Suite at Manchester City FC’s new hospitality lounge at the Etihad Stadium.
The Connell Club offers exclusive fine dining for up to 220 guests, without compromising on the lively community spirit. The design of the space honours the family that founded Manchester City FC over 100 years ago, and the premium for an ambassador’s table forms part of a grant that funds projects in the local community.
The fine leather selected is representative of the quality of the club as a whole. CrestJMT’s Shelly Ashluxury lea was chosen for the booths and banquets seating area, while Vele Pebble was selected for the sofas in the VIP reception area. Byron provides a smooth finish for the dining room chairs in the soft dining area.
The Mancunian Suite, on the other hand, is a vibrant and urban space that celebrates the culture of Manchester and the heritage of Manchester City FC, featuring graphic representations of the city’s musical legacy and club anthems. The designer specified Shelly Steel and Byron for the booth and banquet seating in the Mancunian Suite.
The new design of the hospitality spaces has proved popular with supporters and players alike.
