Havells Sylvania’s World Class efficiency

World Class Fitness Norrköping, a specialist gym chain in Sweden, has invested in a comprehensive lighting solution utilising various products from the Havells Sylvania portfolio. With an emphasis placed on energy-efficiency, LED luminaires were chosen in the form of the Lumiance Lumistrip and Insaver 75 LED to enhance the architectural features and provide accent lighting in public areas. The functional and efficient Sylvania Rana T5 luminaire was also chosen to take care of lighting in the larger open gym areas.

Spanning across four sites and totalling 6000m², World Class Fitness Norrköping required a reliable lighting solution that was energy-efficient, offered a high degree of flexibility and, above all, that was easy to maintain.

“Lighting is often something that is underestimated at the gym, but it is very important for good motivation and the overall wellbeing of staff and customers,” says Robin Wickenberg, CEO of World Class Fitness Norrköping. “We have reduced outgoings significantly by replacing our old, outdated lighting with state-of-the-art Lumiance and Sylvania products. We have noticed already that across each of our four fitness sites we have reduced our energy bill by a massive 60%.

“We run an exclusive fitness chain with high standards of lighting, design and interior decor. I used to be a professional athlete, and know how important it is to have the right lighting when you practice. It is vital to find a good balance, so that you get the same feeling, whether you are in a room with large windows and natural daylight, or in a cramped basement.

“Havells Sylvania’s products meet our very high quality standards. They have an attractive design, while providing an energy-efficient and functional lighting solution, quite simply they are a hit!”

Marcus Jagerås, sales manager at Havells Sylvania Sweden, adds: “We hope more people realise the benefits of investing in new environmentally-friendly solutions. Whether you are renovating, or constructing a new building, you can keep energy consumption down by selecting the right type of lighting, while also maintaining a high degree of reliability and light quality. World Class Fitness is a shining example of that.

“The advanced heat dissipation technology across the Lumiance and Sylvania range can also have a knock-on effect on building cooling costs. Often, alongside reducing lighting bills, business owners also find that air conditioning costs fall, saving more energy in the process.”
