HistoColour has recently been appointed as the exclusive distributor in the UK for the premium Belgian brand Emente Paint.
This acclaimed Belgian company, with a history dating back to 1880, offers a diverse choice of 90, vibrant colours. Ideally suited for both high-end domestic and commercial design projects, the range has been used for generations in interior schemes across Europe – from luxury metropolitan town houses to the renovation of the Royal Palace in Brussels.
Emente Paint boasts impressive eco-credentials. Based on water dilutable oil resin rather than latex or acrylic, and making use of no heavy metals or toxic pigments, all paints are virtually odourless, and are fully compliant with 2010 EU laws on VOC levels.
The range is available in four different finishes, from Matsola which gices a very fine, matte finish, to Satola, which offers a low gloss or satin finish. Both can be used on plastered walls, ceilings, prepared woodwork and metal.
The Metallics range is available in three colours – Gold, Silver and Oricalcum – offering an ecological alternative to solvent based metallic paints. Finally, Japaniac is a high gloss finish which, when applied, creates a striking, shiny surface similar in effect to Japanese lacquers.
