Innovative surface solutions, James Latham

James Latham has announced a number of new additions to its already-extensive portfolio of innovative surface solutions, which are set to have a big impact among interior designers and architects.

Allure
Exclusive to James Latham in the UK, Allure is an innovative and contemporary range which, as well as six types of unique, real stone laminate, includes an extensive palette of high-gloss bold and vibrant acrylic colours, as well as a high-gloss woodgrain.

A stylish mirror laminate is also available, as well as a choice of rough-cut and brushed oak, smoked and stained veneers. Also on offer is a range of eco-friendly reconstituted veneers in patterns such as Rosewood and Ebony, which with its dark heartwood and characteristic streaks, gives the veneer a distinctive and striking appearance.

Valchromat
Valchromat is a coloured MDF. The colour runs throughout the entire board, which is achieved by adding organic dyes and a specially-formulated resin before pressing the panel.

With eight vibrant colours in the range, Valchromat is set to be popular within the UK shopfitting and furniture manufacturing sectors, where bold and impactful colours are part of the specification.

Nevamar
Nevamar is a High Pressure Laminate suitable for use in a range of commercial environments, such as hotels, restaurants, bars and airports. It incorporates a patented Armoured Protection (ARP) technology, which allows for more durability. The result is a hard-wearing decorative material that looks newer for longer.

The ARP surface is engineered using aluminium oxide particles blended with clear resins. Together they form a protective layer that allows objects to slide over the laminate. Unlike other laminates using overlays that can cloud the designs, ARP’s process allows the subtlety and depth of the decorative paper to show through.

HIF-Finesse
Delivering dimension, depth and texture to an otherwise flat surface, HIF (Holz in Form) – Finesse offers interior designers and architects an option that allows them to capitalise on new trends and create a distinctive and elegant design.

With a mixture of contemporary designs and patterns – inspired by the flowing, dynamic shapes of the natural elements – HIF-Finesse offers 11 embossed MDF panels, which are supplied with their own unique textured finish and are held in stock in the UK.

HIF-Finesse is also available in curved panels, with a matching range of edging and in profiles and thicknesses of 1050 x 2450 x 18/21mm, 635 x 2450 x 21mm and 1270 x 3135 x 21mm, depending on the pattern.

Chris Sutton, director of James Latham, comments: “We have a history and expertise in bringing new and innovative products to the UK market, and I’m certain that these latest additions will have a big impact within the A&D sector.

“James Latham now offers one of the UK’s widest ranges of innovative surface solutions, all available from one supplier, and directly from stock at all nine of our nationwide panel distribution sites.”
