Victoria + Albert launches Lussari, its first new bath collection since 2019

Cornering the market

British bathroom company, Victoria + Albert Baths, a globally recognised brand known for its award-winning baths made from QUARRYCASTTM, is proud to announce its first new bath and sink collection since the Taizu in 2019.

The Lussari collection marks a number of ‘firsts’ for Victoria + Albert: the first time the brand has launched a suite of baths with the same shape; its first corner bath; and its first simultaneous UK and European launch. Lussari will be unveiled during London Design Week at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, in March.

The collection is comprised of three baths, sharing the same interior shape. A corner bath, a back-to-wall bath and a freestanding bath. Multiple size options are available, and there is a matching basin, the Lussari 55, to complete the range.

Named after an Italian sanctuary

The name Lussari comes from a peak in the Italian Alps, above the town of Tarvisio in Italy’s most north-eastern region. It has been a place of sanctuary for over 650 years. At the top there is a chapel and convent, sometimes called ‘the church of the three peoples’, for the three immediate neighbours – the Italians, the Germans and the Slovenians. Victoria + Albert’s Lussari collection is available in three formats, each designed to provide a bathroom sanctuary even if the space available is limited or compromised.

The Lussari range

The most striking format is undoubtedly the Lussari corner bath. It has the same svelte external profile as the freestanding bath while snugly fitting into a corner to maximise bathroom space. A perfectly flat ledge offers space for a bottle of Molton Brown or Moe?ˆt & Chandon. Available in both left hand and right hand models.

The Lussari back-to-wall combines a stylish profile with a modern, space-saving design. Installed against the wall for a watertight seal, with a spacious deck for mounting brassware or simply filling with bathroom luxuries. It is available in both 1600mm and 1700mm forms to suit a wide range of bathrooms.

The Lussari freestanding bath is another statement Victoria + Albert bath, with a sleek, double- ended design and smooth, organic curves. In 1800 form the Lussari suits larger bathrooms but is also available in more compact 1500mm and 1700mm versions. The slim walls emphasise the organic curves and it has a smooth, curved rim that provide a comfortable rest for tired arms.

All three can be matched with the Lussari 55 basin which shares the same elegant shape. Designed for countertop mounting, it has a discreet integrated overflow.

Like all Victoria + Albert products, the entire collection is made from Volcanic LimestoneTM with its characteristic properties of strength, stain and scratch resistance. It has a natural warmth that means less of the heat of the water is used to raise the temperature of the material (and the bath stays hot for longer). The baths and basin can be specified in a Gloss or Matt finish, and with a choice of over 200 RAL exterior colours.

The Lussari collection is priced from £2,436 for the baths, with the basin priced at £518. The full range of products will be available from Spring 2023.
