YourStudio designs furniture range for Kopparberg

Global cider brand, Kopparberg, has hired spatial and graphic design agency, YourStudio, for a series of UK trade briefs this summer. The agency has been tasked with creating a range of brand-extension furniture for bars and pubs nationwide.

Due to be launched this week, the range includes outdoor benches and tables, as well as indoor coffee tables, lights, chalk boards, Chesterfield sofas and tub chairs. Taking its inspiration from Kopparberg’s new Unconventional ad campaign, the furniture uses raw materials and timber, scuffed paint and a stripped-back aesthetic.

The new furniture will also be featured at a number of Kopparberg festival and bar installations – with YourStudio working in conjunction with PR agency, Manifest London – including Field Day, Beacons Festival, Kendal Calling and The xx at Hatfield House this summer.

In addition, YourStudio has been briefed to design Kopparberg’s two new trade brochures and catalogues for bars and pubs. The brochure for the brand’s traditional Foundations range of bestselling fruit ciders is similarly Undesigned, stripped back, basic and raw. Meanwhile, a mixture of handcrafted bottle and Perfect Serve illustrations convey the brand’s unconventional artisanship at work in its new Eclectics range, launching this summer.

Tom Philipson, YourStudio co-founder, comments: “The challenge with the bar furniture was to create a brand extension which reflected Kopparberg’s marketing campaign and maverick values, while still being true, comfortable, cool and authentic in a pub or bar environment. Similarly, with the trade catalogues, we needed to create a piece of corporate literature which still sang out the brand’s unconventional yet expert personality.”

Rob Calder, Kopparberg spokesperson, adds: “YourStudio really raised the bar with the new furniture. The campaign means we can demonstrate that Kopparberg is not just about delicious cider, but that we can deliver innovative investments to support the trade, too.

“Kopparberg has been involved in festival activation for around six years. Festivals are a vital part of our strategy, they allow us to serve Kopparberg in exactly the right summer environment. This year we were looking for a way to showcase our eclectic variants, Cloudberry, and Elderflower & Lime.

“YourStudio created the Festival Happening Bar, which has a really natural feel to it and brings to life the variety of fruits we use in the Perfect Serve. The bar is bang on what Kopparberg is all about, and it will be rolled out across the UK’s best summer festivals between May and August this year.”
