Whisky Mist & Rusty”ˆNail, London

Whisky Mist is notorious for its rich and opulent décor, unsurpassed range of super-premium whiskies and its status as London’s foremost celebrity hangout. Now, extensively refurbished by Nick House and a prestigious team recruited from the best clubs in Europe, the venue boasts a darkly glamorous new spin on its Scottish heritage.

Arriving at the new Whisky Mist is like entering a grand gothic chapel – one dedicated to the ancient religion of Hedonism and where the sermon is preached from a pulpit that doubles as a DJ booth.

Amid stained-glass stone windows, a reclaimed church organ and pews, are motifs from Whisky Mist’s Scottish origin story: suits of armour, coats of arms, crested wallpaper and tartans, whisky barrels and, in prime position, the majestic stag, Whisky Mist’s own standard.

Situated within Whisky Mist is its new sister club, Rusty Nail, an intimate and exclusive late-night hangout with a capacity of 80. Serving up whiskies, cocktails and a carefully-curated line-up of DJs from both London and Europe, this secret club within a club will be modelled on the hidden whisky cellars within a medieval-style castle.

The design merges both the ancient and the modern, featuring church candles, distressed wallpaper and old whisky barrels paired with neon light and cutting-edge contemporary art.

The club draws its name from the famous cocktail made from whisky and drambuie, and its namesake will be offered in four different flavours in skull-shaped shot glasses. Bar staff clad in rock-inspired military chic will also serve up signature drinks such as the Rusty Wolf, a sharing cocktail modelled on the club’s mascot, a wolf’s head, amongst other innovative cocktails.

Rusty Nail is set to attract both A-listers and people who share similar taste in music, fashion and style. With the feel of a private party, DJs will play a blend of electro, disco and 80s funk and rock music, alongside regular performances from a whole host of dancers and other live entertainment, including knights clad in armour and damsels in distress.
