Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide today announces its rapidly expanding Aloft brand has opened its first hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Owned and managed by Triyar Hospitality, the hotel recently completed a $4m conversion to reposition as an Aloft. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Scottsdale’s vibrant Entertainment District, Aloft Scottsdale features 126 spacious rooms, accessible technologies and a buzzing social scene.

“Aloft Scottsdale is a superb addition to our growing portfolio as we continue to aggressively expand the brand in dynamic markets across the globe,” says Brian McGuinness, senior vice president, Specialty Select Brands for Starwood.

“The popular Aloft brand has surpassed 100 hotels worldwide due to its strong appeal for today’s hyper-connected global traveler with its innovative programming, tech-forward mindset and lively, social scene.”

Offering sweeping views of Camelback Mountain, Aloft Scottsdale boasts an ideal location within Scottsdale’s Entertainment District, a popular destination for visitors to the area.

“We are thrilled to introduce Starwood’s stylish Aloft brand to Scottsdale and expect the hotel will resonate with both business and leisure travelers in pursuit of a technology-rich experience and spirited social environment,” says Michael Mahoney, CEO, Triyar Hospitality. “Aloft Scottsdale is an excellent addition to our growing portfolio of high-caliber hotels.”

Aloft Scottsdale features SPG Keyless-Starwood’s industry-first keyless entry system that enables guests to use their smartphone or Apple watch as a room key-and fast and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

The hotel offers 400 square feet of meeting space; a Re:chargeSM fitness center; Re:fuelSM by Aloft – a one-stop gourmet grab & go food and beverage area; and live, local music at the brand’s signature W XYZ bar as part of the signature Live At Aloft Hotels music series.

Aloft Scottsdale will be Triyar’s fourth Starwood hotel, joining W Scottsdale, Aloft Tempe and Aloft Silicon Valley.
