Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel unveils a New Era of Contemporary Urban Luxury

Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel first brought the brand’s signature luxury to the city’s skyline in 2022 and now reveals an extensive redesign. This complete transformation ushers in a new era for the urban property, which evolves the hotel into a sophisticated sanctuary connecting a high-octane business hub with a refined lifestyle destination.

Business meetings and events

With its bright, contemporary lobby featuring a cascading Bohemian glass sculpture, upgrades to all meeting rooms and the multi-purpose Mirage Ballroom, Anantara Downtown Dubai is the primary choice for conferences and launches in a convenient city location.

The hotel’s stylish new aesthetic provides an inspiring backdrop for both executive boardroom meetings and social occasions with a capacity for up to 550 in the ballroom plus eight adaptable, state-of-the-art meeting rooms that can accommodate between 5 – 40 attendees.

Ziya Courtyard and the Pool Deck provide alternative al fresco options for flawless events orchestrated by the dedicated in-house MICE team.

Rooms and suites

A premier highlight of the renovation can be found in the hotel’s 252 guestrooms and suites, which have all been significantly enhanced. Among the most spacious in Business Bay, each serves as a tranquil retreat from the city with a focus on light, luxury textures and integrated technology.

Starting at a generous 52 square metres, the Superior City View Rooms establish a new standard for space within the district. Expansive Deluxe Suites and 184 sqm Luxury Suites with separate living areas provide opportunities for restful evenings or entertaining, while catering for families of up to two adults and two children. All accommodation includes ultra-soft king or twin beds, a walk-in shower and separate tub.

The pinnacle of this collection is the Anantara Royal Suite, a palatial residence spanning 235 square metres with its own private plunge pool and private balcony. Every room is equipped with five-star amenities including a fully stocked refreshment centre, an advanced entertainment system and designer toiletries, curated for the modern traveller.

Restaurants and bars

The arrival of Ziya introduces a new signature dining destination to Business Bay, welcoming diners from morning through evening with a confident expression of global flavours from India to Japan. It is a distinctive venue for both business lunches and social gatherings, showcasing brilliant gastronomy amid bold décor. For a more clandestine ambiance, Mood Bar offers live entertainment in a speakeasy setting, while the verdant Lobby Lounge presents a distinguished afternoon tea alongside an abundance of nibbles and light fare.

Alongside these venues, guests can enjoy a relaxed poolside experience at the Pool Bar, which serves refreshments and tasty bites throughout the day. The culinary scene at Anantara Downtown Dubai is further enhanced by MENA 50 Best Restaurant Central American haunt, The Girl & The Goose, authentic Japanese dining at Kimura-ya and sumptuous Indian creations at Punjab Grill.

Wellness and leisure

Anantara Spa remains central to the hotel’s wellness identity, drawing on its Thai roots with a renewed spotlight on rejuvenation from the urban lifestyle. The inviting spa offers a menu that combines innovative wellness therapies alongside a curated selection of international and Ayurvedic therapies in a soothing palette of soft hues and stone.

Guests can indulge in signature experiences such as the Urban Getaway, a restorative ritual designed to release the effects of city living, or embark on the Trip to Montalcino, which detoxes through a volcanic rhyolite scrub. The spa also introduces treatments from Of the Islands, using Zechstein magnesium to support detoxification and renewal. From traditional Thai massage to Shirodhara oil therapy, the spa continues to provide a calm counterpoint to the city beyond.

Beyond the treatment rooms, invigorating and energising activities are also provided by the pool, a state-of-the-art fitness centre featuring strength and fitness equipment plus expert instructors, and tailored Technogym workout videos that can be downloaded anywhere in the hotel.

Just 20 minutes’ drive from Dubai International Airport and 10 minutes from Dubai Mall and Dubai International Financial Centre, Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel offers seamless connections to key business locations and the city’s famous attractions, making it the perfect choice for every type of traveller.
