Following the success of Back to the Floor 1 and 2, key figures from the hospitality industry went “Back to the Floor” for a third time on Friday 7th April at the five star Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel.

This unique fundraising dinner raised a fantastic £92,000 for those in need across the hospitality industry. The evening saw Danny Pecorelli of Exclusive Hotels & Venues, Advisor and Consultant Philip Newman-Hall, Jonathan Raggett of Red Carnation hotels and Stuart Bowery of Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel amongst the star waiters of the evening testing their silver service skills.

Guest sommeliers included Peter Ducker of the Institute of Hospitality and Giovanna Grossi of AA Hotel Services who also had their work cut out for them serving over 370 guests.

“The Great Room at Grosvenor House has certainly seen its fair share of unusual and prestigious events over the years but I can certainly say The Great Room has never seen anything like this!” says Stuart Bowery, GM, Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel.

“I jumped at the chance to host Back to the Floor 3 for Hospitality Action in their 180th birthday year. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and who took part in the evening’s fun, we couldn’t have done it without you.”

Penny Moore, Chief Executive, Hospitality Action adds: “My sincere thanks to everyone who made Back to the Floor 3 such a triumph, especially to Stuart Bowery and the entire team at Grosvenor House.

“Without them the evening simply would not have been possible. The great lengths Stuart and his team went to to ensure as much money as possible was raised for Hospitality Action is utterly amazing. I would also like to thank Lanson International who were so generous with their Champagne donation and to Hatch Mansfield who so kindly donated the wine. Thank you to all those who donated prizes and gave up their time to be a waiter or a sommelier.

“I know how hard everyone works in their day jobs running the most prestigious hotels across the UK. We really are indebted to you and the great efforts you have gone to for Hospitality Action in our 180th birthday year.”
