Miiro, the new lifestyle hotel brand, has announced that reservations for Borneta are now available on its official website. The hotel is set to open its doors on 1st August 2024 and is located in the charming artisanal neighbourhood of El Born in Barcelona. Embodying the essence of Mediterranean design and lifestyle, Borneta will offer an unparalleled hotel experience that combines high-end hospitality with local authenticity.

With 92 rooms and suites, Borneta reflects the vibrant neighbourhood that surrounds it. The design tells a story of local tradition meets internationally inspired style, thanks to James Thurstan Waterworth and his London- based design studio, Thurstan. Seamlessly blending contemporary aesthetics with local charm, through collaborations with Barcelona-based studio, Heres Arquitectura and local suppliers, such as Gancedo, Borneta is committed to offering a unique experience that goes beyond traditional hospitality standards.

The hotel is home to a cosy open-kitchen restaurant, an elegant cocktail bar and a spacious terrace under the iconic Fontseré arches. In addition, its exclusive rooftop terrace with an outdoor pool offers unparalleled views of the rooftops of El Born and Barcelona’s Parc de la Ciutadella, inviting guests to relax in an intimate setting.

With a focus on quality and authenticity, Volta, the hotel’s flagship restaurant, offers an exciting culinary journey along the picturesque Mediterranean coast, fusing culinary inspirations from various coastal towns. Guests will enjoy an exquisite selection of dishes designed for sharing, prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients from local suppliers.

Connectivity with the local neighbourhood is central to all Miiro properties. At Borneta, dining concepts and communal spaces have been cleverly designed to foster an inclusive environment for guests and locals alike, and encourage community engagement.
