Designworks Tiles, the dedicated contract division of leading UK tile manufacturer and distributor Original Style, has announced that it is opening a London showroom.
Established seven years ago to accommodate exceptional growth and the specific needs of the sector, Designworks Tiles has honed its expertise, completing projects in pubs, restaurants, bars, hotels, spas, airports, railway stations, luxury yachts and even an oil rig.
Further growth and demand for products has led to the acquisition of a London showroom in order to provide facilities such as a meeting space and work stations for the community, as well as the opportunity to see beautiful and technical products in a non-traditional showroom setting. Knowledgeable staff will be on hand to offer a cup of coffee along with technical expertise, design advice and samples for all scales of project.
The space is located on St John Street in the architectural and design heart of London, Clerkenwell. Opening in May to coincide with Clerkenwell Design Week, the brand is an official showroom partner of the design festival.
A series of exciting launch events are planned to take place between 20 and 22 May, from tile themed catwalk shows to hand painting classes and tropical parties, to celebrate its arrival in London and engage with the vibrant Clerkenwell community. Leading applied colour psychology expert Karen Haller, will be giving two insightful talks on architects’ and interior designers’ use of colour in commercial and residential spaces, and how this impacts us day to day.
