Domes Resorts & Reserves announces new brand Domes Aulūs

Domes Resorts & Reserves has announced its new brand: Domes Aulūs, which joins its rapidly expanding portfolio with two new properties launching this summer; Domes Aulūs Elounda in Crete, and Domes Aulūs Zante. With direct flights from the UK and short drives from the destination airports, as well as an enviable climate running into the autumn, they are set to be significant new destinations this summer.

“We have reimagined a sophisticated, understated-luxury and laid-back approach to all-inclusive, and instead creating the ‘Cool Inclusive’. Domes AulÅ«s forms a new style of travel – slow paced, eco-conscious, with an unpretentious style of living for our guests who seek spiritual stimulation and ecological immersion, whilst also enjoying the breadth of culinary and wellness offerings at our new hotels throughout their stay,” says Manos Vatzolas, Deputy Commercial Director.

Domes Aulūs Elounda is set to open this July as an adults-only resort following an extensive renovation. The inspiration derives from the surrounding topography and tones of the landscape, and sees the property refreshed with a warm and soothing palette of grey and beige textured surfaces, splashed with Aegean blue textiles to embody a casual-luxury atmosphere.

Guest rooms include garden or sea view Nests and Suites, or Cool Living Selection accommodation for those seeking a hotel-within-a-hotel, with elevated service, 24/7 concierge service, and access to the Cool Living Club. This accommodation tier features spacious, private terraces and pool with views overlooking the Cretan Gardens or Elounda Bay.

Comprising a private beach, two cliffside swimming pools and pool bars, Domes’ signature Soma Spa and Gym, a breadth of culinary experiences, as well as a marketplace including open-air boutique shops and a cinema, Domes AulÅ«s Elounda presents an unrivalled destination to unwind and immersed the surroundings whilst indulging in its luxurious services.

Sitting in a protected turtle sanctuary on Zante’s longest beach yet also just 5km away from Zakynthos Airport, Domes AulÅ«s Zante will also open in July as the second Domes AulÅ«s property. Set among 230 acres of white-sand pine forest, it is an adventure and exploration-lover’s resort for friends and families to disconnect from the rest of the world, and soak up Crete’s iconic landscape and charming local community.

The hotel boasts spacious accommodation and private terraces, some sleeping up to six people, all with earthy-toned interiors, warm wood textures and rattan weaves inspired by the natural scenery. This is accompanied by the hotel’s soulful service, epicurean experiences, and a sandy beach with a Beach Bar.

The resorts connect with and support their destinations with activities including cleaning excursions, recycling, sustainability initiatives, and co-operations with NGOs, and guests are invited to actively get involved with voluntary experiences such as the protection of Caretta Caretta sea turtles. To heighten the connection to the local environment and surrounding community, guests can not only explore fine-dining options, but also culinary and ecological origins of the cuisine and wine, tracing the produce to Domes AulÅ«s’ local food community, to botanical gardens, farmers, and fishermen.

Taking inspiration from the ancient city name of Elounda, Aulūs, where the new flagship Domes of Elounda is located, Domes Aulūs combines the ease of an all-inclusive option with a five-star seal of approval. With supreme travel experiences and amenities in and outside of the properties, guests can be immersed in the local culture and enjoy an innovative, educational, and restorative discovery.
