Stuart Garner, entrepeneur and owner of Donington Hall in Castle Donington, North West Leicestershire, has announced plans to use the property as a five-star private function venue. The Hall dates back to 1790 when it was built for Francis Rawdon-Hastings, and – following Stuart’s purchase in March last year – has undergone major refurbishment of the ground floor and basement.
The exclusive venue was recently launched at a reception organised by Finesse Hospitality, which has been awarded the contract to operate the Hall for private receptions, corporate events, conferences, weddings and field events.
James Blick, CEO at The Finesse Collection says: “It is a true delight to work with Stuart on the refurbishment and future operation of Donington Hall. It is without doubt destined to become the most exclusive five-star venue for the East Midlands.”
Future plans for the venue are to offer 14 estate rooms with the capacity to cater for up to 200 dinner guests inside the hall, and up to 700 guests in a grand marquee on the library lawn. The property is set to be used for hosting private receptions, bespoke events, weddings and field events. There is car parking available for up to 500 vehicles.
