Double award win for Chelsom

Chelsom has been crowned Exporter of the Year and Creative Business of the Year at the 2014 Be Inspired Business Awards, at a lavish ceremony in the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom where it was the only company to win multiple awards in all categories entered.

The Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, are the North West’s biggest and most prestigious business awards celebrating the achievements of businesses regardless of their scale. Run by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, the BIBAs have become a hallmark for success attracting the cream of the North West’s business community with 1,200 companies vying for the 19 accolades available in the 2014 competition.

The winners were selected following a rigorous judging process whereby companies underwent a forensic scrutiny of their business to ensure only the very best made the final shortlist.

The double award win follows what has been a momentous year so far for Chelsom, with the continued expansion of the export division of the business seeing exclusive representatives being appointed in Russia and the UAE,  a succession of prestigious project wins across the international hospitality and marine sectors including Mondrian London at Sea Containers, Rosewood London, Beekman St NYC, Crystal Symphony, Ritz Carlton Dubai, Sanderson, Movenpick Paris, Sheraton Creek Dubai, Hilton New York, P&O Cruises’ Britannia and Arora, along with the incredibly successful launch of their new collection, Edition 24, brand overhaul and completely redesigned website earlier this summer.

“In our very first year of entering the prestigious BIBA awards, I was utterly thrilled to win Exporter of the Year and then overwhelmed moments later to win Creative Business of the Year as well,” says managing director, Robert Chelsom.

“Given the strong competition from 1,200 companies, the two awards are a wonderful recognition for all the dedication, passion and hard work put in by the whole Chelsom team. There is in fact a connection between the two awards in that because we understand our interior design marketplace so well and because we continually strive to create exciting and unique products for our clients, the global marketplace appreciates Chelsom and the exports have followed.”
