DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Worldwide has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East. The stylish and upscale 20-story, 308-room hotel is centrally located in the business district of Xiasha Economic & Technological Development Zone in Hangzhou.

“The opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East marks our 16th hotel to open in China, and reinforces our brand’s growing footprint in the country,” says John Greenleaf, global head at DoubleTree by Hilton. “At DoubleTree by Hilton, we know the little things mean everything when it comes to a great travel experience. We are excited to deliver our world-renowned service to guests in Hangzhou for the first time, starting with our signature warm chocolate chip cookie welcome that is given to each guest on arrival.”

Located just 26km from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and 20km from Wulin Square and the West Lake Scenic Area, the hotel is a direct link to the Hangzhou Metro, providing easy access to Hangzhou’s business centre, as well as Xiasha University City, and the area’s best shopping and dining.

With three uniquely-themed restaurants right at the hotel, guests won’t have to go far to indulge in delicious Chinese and international menu offerings. He Yuan offers a delicate, elegant dining experience with the best in Cantonese and Zhejiang cuisine. Guests can start the day at E Café, and later enjoy Asian cuisine, Western grilled specialties and fresh seafood. At Suigestu, guests can explore a menu of exquisite Japanese specialties while, for a more casual ambience, the Lobby Lounge offers a delectable selection of tea and light bites.

“As the capital city of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou is not only enjoying rapid economic development, but also establishing itself as one of the top tourist destinations in China, says Bruce McKenzie, senior vice president of Operations, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton Worldwide. “We are confident that DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East will showcase our strength in supporting the Yangtze River Delta region’s development. This year marks Hilton Worldwide’s 25th anniversary in China and the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East is the latest welcome addition to our growing portfolio.”

The hotel is owned by Hangzhou Vangoo Investment Co and operated by Hilton Worldwide.
