DoubleTree by Hilton, one of Hilton’s 14 market-leading brands, has introduced an additional 12 properties to its UK portfolio in the past 12 months and now welcomes guests at more than 30 hotels throughout the country.
Eight of the 12 hotel openings were part of a £16 million conversion programme, providing unique, contemporary accommodations and full-service facilities to guests in Aberdeen Treetops, Bristol North, Coventry, Dartford Bridge, Edinburgh Airport, Newbury North, Southampton and Strathclyde.
“The addition of 12 UK hotels in 2016 – from Aberdeen in Scotland to Southampton on the South Coast – took us past 30 properties and significantly strengthened our position in the market,” says Dianna Vaughan, senior vice president and global brand head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
“Within each of these hotels, guests can expect the DoubleTree by Hilton signature welcome, complete with the warm DoubleTree Cookie – always delivered with a smile.”
Since launching in the UK in 2008, DoubleTree by Hilton has expanded rapidly across the country, opening an average of four new hotels each year. The brand offers a consistent, upscale standard of accommodation within a varied portfolio which has grown to incorporate many long-established hotels, such as DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London – Ealing and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London – Hyde Park.
Each hotel in the conversion programme has been refurbished, now showcases individual design and F&B concepts, reflecting the location of each property and newly renovated meeting spaces, commencing with DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Strathclyde in October and completing with DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Edinburgh Airport in December.
