DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of President Abraham Lincoln Springfield – a DoubleTree by Hilton in historic downtown Springfield, Illinois. Formerly an independent hotel, the property unveils a multi-million dollar transformation that includes contemporary upgrades throughout the hotel’s classic lobby and guest rooms. The hotel continues to be owned and managed by Horve Hospitality Management.

The new hotel debuts a fresh, modern design, including updated decor and amenities throughout the 310 guest rooms and an upgraded lobby featuring a classic stone fireplace and hand-carved Maplewood accents. The hotel boasts nearly 15,000ft² of flexible meeting space equipped with the latest audiovisual capabilities. An expansive 6765ft² ballroom features 20ft-high ceilings and striking chandeliers. The adjoining Prairie Capital Convention Center offers more than 40,000ft² of exhibit and event space.
