Firmdale Hotels is set to open The Whitby Hotel in February 2017, its second New York property.
Located in the heart of Upper Midtown Manhattan on West 56th Street at 5th Avenue, the hotel is surrounded by designer shopping outlets, restaurants, galleries and museums, with Central Park and Broadway just a short walk away.
Kit Kemp, Firmadel Hotels’ owner and design director, will bring her characteristic mix of colour, pattern, texture and art to the interiors.
The hotel offers 86 individually-designed bedrooms and suites over 16 floors all with floor-to-ceiling windows, many with private terraces.
The entirety of the top floor is dedicated to The Whitby Suite, a striking two bedroom headline suite with spacious furnished terraces facing uptown and downtown.
