Ancient Sands, a new luxury resort and residential project based in the Red Sea town of El Gouna, will welcome guests to its first five-star apartment hotel in April 2014. Ancient Sands Golf Resort will combine Egyptian tradition with Western-style comfort.
Located in the Hilltop Village, Ancient Sands Golf Resort will comprise five individual buildings, each with its own garden and swimming pool. The hotel complex, which will open in two phases, will initially offer 114 apartments in April 2014 – 91 of which will be reserved for holidaymakers visiting El Gouna. The second phase is set for operation in 2016, and will bring the total number of units to 261.
Jens Freise, senior director of marketing and sales for destinations and hotels at the hotel’s developer, Orascom Development, says: “Ancient Sands is an exciting prospect for us. With El Gouna an already well-established year-round destination on Egypt’s Red Sea Riviera offering a range of hotels to suit all budgets, the new five-star apartment hotel is the first of its kind here and will add an air of opulence to this private town. Unique additions such as these as are intrinsic to maintaining the rich variety of the El Gouna community.”
The completed Ancient Sands Golf Resort will incorporate a Golf Club Estate House, an 18-hole Karl Litten-designed championship golf course, three tennis courts, water sports facilities, an outdoor playground and a luxury spa.
