General Manager appointed for two hotels in Florence, Italy

Milu Holding has named Angela Focareta as the General Manager of two Florence properties. Broadening her current role as General Manager of Hotel Calimala Florence her role will now include the management of Hotel Milu Florence. This designation highlights Angela’s career growth at Milu Holdings, showcasing her impact on guest experiences and operational excellence.
Angela brings 17 years of hospitality experience with a proven track record in leadership, HR, and general management. Joining Milu Holding in 2016, she has advanced from Front Desk Manager, leading with vision and dedication. Moreover, before Milu Holding, Angela developed her expertise at IHG Hotels & Resorts in London, mastering team dynamics and client relations. Being a London Business School Graduate, Angela combines strategic insight and passion, driving success to these Florence properties.
Commenting on the appointment, Angela said: “I am honoured to take on the role of General Manager at both Hotel Calimala and Hotel Milu. These properties represent the heart of Florence’s hospitality, and I am committed to building on their legacies by fostering exceptional guest experiences, cultivating a strong team culture,and driving innovation in our operations. Florence’s rich heritage inspires me daily, and I look forward to leading these incredible teams into an exciting new chapter.”
Hotel Milu Florence is a boutique hotel boasting 22 stylish rooms and fusing old world elegance with modern design. Spanning across five floors, the hotel features a rooftop breakfast room, an outdoor terrace, and an art collection throughout.
Hotel Calimala Florence is a unique art hotel in central Florence, and Milu Holding’s second property. It occupies two adjacent historic buildings, the East and the West. Designed by acclaimed architect Alex Meitlis and inspired by the rich cultural traditions of the city, the hotel features 103 designer rooms and suites, two well-equipped gyms, ANGEL Roof bar&Dining – a three-story floral garden with an immersive view of the city, dining restaurant and a ground floor restaurant and bar, MEZE.
