Hilton has announced the appointment of Guillaume Marly as General Manager of the highly anticipated Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch.

Marly, an industry veteran with almost 30 years of luxury hospitality experience, will spearhead the operations of the landmark property as it concludes its development and prepares to welcome its first guests.

Steve Cassidy, senior vice president and managing director, UK&I, Hilton said: “Guillaume’s leadership and experience in luxury hospitality make him the perfect fit for Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch. His proven track record of delivering exceptional service and attention to detail will help bring this landmark property to life, providing experiences that blend the property’s rich history with Waldorf Astoria’s modern luxury.”

Guillaume Marly, general manager, Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be part of such a remarkable project. Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch will undoubtedly become a destination of choice in the UK and I am delighted to be taking this iconic building into a new era of luxury hospitality. Its unique location, exceptional heritage and our intentions to provide our guests with unrivalled levels of service are a truly exciting prospect”

Marly’s wealth of experience leading some of London’s most celebrated hotels led to his recognition in Walpole’s 2023 Power List as one of the 50 most influential people in British Luxury.

Hilton is revitalising the landmark property into a 100 key luxury hotel in partnership with Reuben Brothers. The hotel will exemplify Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts’ evolution to meet the needs of the next generation of discerning travellers and locals while honouring its storied past. Originally commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria, the Admiralty Arch building stands proudly at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, offering unrivalled views of the Palace in one direction and across Nelson’s Column and Trafalgar Square in the other. It will feature exciting restaurants and bars with world-renowned chefs, ensuring it becomes a must-visit London destination for hotel guests and non-residents alike. Development is set to be completed in late 2025.
