Interio has secured the UK distributorship of Japanese fine furniture brand, Matsuoka. As from 1st September, Matsuoka will join Dorya, John-Richard and AdVivum as part of Interio’s growing portfolio of international luxury designer furniture brands.
Based in Japan, family-owned Matsuoka has been creating luxury handcrafted furnishings for over 145 years. Using traditional Japanese methods, Matusoka’s team of craftsmen are skilled in the art of veneering, inlay and marquetry. They are also renowned for their lacquering, leafing, gilding and hand-painting techniques. Matsuoka’s striking designs are crafted from exotic woods, stone, metal and fine leather.
Working with distinguished furniture designers and creatives, Matsuoka boasts exclusive collections from Australian designer, Christian Lyon, master sculptor, Stephen Gormley and celebrity interior designer, Steven G, alongside its archive collection.
