Jupiter Hotels makes £240,000 donation to Breast Cancer Care

Jupiter Hotels has worked with Breast Cancer Care for five years and this large cheque marks the final chapter of a wonderful and rewarding partnership. The sizeable amount has been raised through staff donations, guest incentives and auction events at the 27 Mercure and 2 Holiday Inn properties, managed by Jupiter Hotels, across the UK.

Breast Cancer Care is the only UK wide charity providing care, information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

“It’s been a real pleasure working with Jupiter Hotels over the years, we are really grateful to all of the hotels, staff and guests who have enthusiastically given their time and money to support our services,” comments Megan Hewlett, account manager, Breast Cancer Care.

“This incredibly generous cheque is going to ensure that we can continue to provide care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer in the UK.”

As is company policy, Jupiter Hotels’ charity partners are rotated every few years to spread support and awareness to as many in need as possible, so for 2018 and beyond, Jupiter Hotels have announced a new charity partnership with Rays of Sunshine.

Rays of Sunshine is a national children’s charity, which brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children (aged three – 18) and their families across the UK. Their work includes granting special wishes, working with children’s hospitals and hospices to host activity days and grant Hospital Ward Wishes as well as organising large-scale outings and events.

Speaking of the new partnership, Jane Sharpe, CEO, Rays of Sunshine says, “Rays of Sunshine is absolutely delighted that Jupiter Hotels is supporting us and we want to make this a meaningful and successful partnership. It is only with the support of our valued partners, such as Jupiter Hotels, that we can continue to make magical wishes come true and create special memories. We are excited to be working alongside Jupiter to make a real impact on the lives of many more seriously ill children.”
