Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants‘ growth momentum in Thailand continues with the unveiling of Kimpton Khao Yai, its third Kimpton to sign in Thailand following the brand’s debut there in 2020.

Opening in 2024, the 100-room luxury wellness resort is situated north of Khao Yai National Park and within Pak Chong, and will benefit from scenic mountain views across all of its 70 rooms and 30 pool villas. The property will become part of the Nusa MyOzone Project – a 600-acre integrated resort which will include an 18-hole golf course, retail and recreational facilities including an organic farm, hotels and residences, and a private airport.

Capturing the Kimpton brand’s playful and sophisticated design, innovative approach to restaurants and bars, and immersive guest experiences that foster genuine human connections, it will offer a fresh perspective on hospitality in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khao Yai.

Guests will enjoy Kimpton’s innovative culinary experiences in its restaurants and locally-inspired drinks in its lobby bar, along with its famed daily Social Hour. Other facilities include a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and resort centre, and a meeting space measuring 50 square metres.

“Kimpton continues to strengthen its positioning in Thailand with Kimpton Khao Yai,” says Serena Lim, Vice President, Development, South East Asia and Korea, IHG. “We have seen a lot of interest for the brand since we opened Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok in the middle of the pandemic to much fanfare, becoming a much-loved and popular destination for Bangkok residents and their pets.

“The signing of Kimpton Koh Samui swiftly followed and now the third Kimpton has been signed in Thailand. This is such a fantastic testament to the strength of the brand in both city and resort locations and is very much part of our plan to grow our luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Thailand by 50% in the next few years.”

Khun Visanu Thepchareon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Nusasiri Public Company Limited adds: “Thailand is opening its borders to international travel and I am confident that the travel industry will rebound strongly. We want to establish a strong foothold in hospitality and are excited to work with IHG to bring the Kimpton brand to Khao Yai.

“We strongly believe that Kimpton’s heartfelt approach to hospitality, offering thoughtfully curated and meaningful experiences coupled with locally-loved and innovative restaurants and bars makes it the ideal choice for the Nusa Ozone mixed use development project. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok launch was extremely well-received and set the standards for a distinctive, lifestyle-led hotel experience.

“We are confident that Kimpton Khao Yai will be a resounding success and further elevate Khao Yai as a luxury and lifestyle resort destination for local and international travellers.”
